I do auto body and Custom Painting so really I didn’t want to have to outsource repairs or have someone pinstripe around my flames. I had tried, for years and found my local Auto Body Supply store ran classes once a month anf I was hooked.
I have been lucky enough to have some amazing artists and mentors along the way that helped shape my style. From Bill “Jive” Jarvis, Bob Behounek, Joel “Peter Pan” Peters, Pat Finley, Brett Mason and the Chicago Brushmasters group in general. Then meeting people like Todd Hanson, Anthony Monaco, Tracey Mackenzie, Bob Anderson, Jennifer Thomas and Freddie Villa. Getting tips and taking some ideas from them and making them my own.

Most memorable project: Usually I think the next one is the most memorable. Recently I was asked by the Chicago Brushmasters to put together a design for their T-shirt being sold at their event in 2025. Their mentorship has meant a great deal to me and to have them ask me for a design was humbling.
Advice for beginners: Keep painting, keep trying, find what inspires you and try it, and try it again.
